Alex: This song is pretty self-explanatory. It’s about that person who you love, have tons of respect for, think the world of, but they are with someone you can’t stand, and you wonder "why not me?" It’s also about suppressing those feelings and being there for that person and ultimately hoping for the best for them. When you love someone from afar you have to give up yourself to be a true friend to them. But feel free to have the private thought in your head "He always has something to say that's usually stupid and insane". Then chuckle to yourself!
