Alex: I feel these lyrics are a bit harsher than they should be, but I did want to capture that moment later on when you realize you aren’t trusting someone that you should and they are just trying to be there for you and can trace that mistrust back to a single source where you lost that innocence you had due to someone stringing you along with lies. The dog in the lyric video is not Winnie, but might as well have been!
