Snow
Alex: This song is about how nothing is permanent, life is fleeting…and snow I guess. The video (albeit pretty stupid) just tries to show a moment in time. Those weird moments that stick in our brain. We never really have time to stop everything and just reflect. Life is just a bunch of those fleeting moments isn’t it?
The first couple of lines are some of my favorite lines. Was trying to describe that brain freeze or lock, when you have a foggy brain and can’t get going.
Frozen glacier of my thoughts
Creeps slowly through my head
Shiny silver thing I bought
Hiding underneath my bed
If I could make you see my mind
Through the shadows you might find
That frozen clock that you can’t wind
Still stuck on that same time
You told me to say goodbye
The snow can only stay
Until it starts to rain
Always ends up in a mess
Why can’t you show some kindness
Try too hard to put me down
So I walk these streets and I kick the ground
The ground
If I could make you see my mind
Through the shadows you might find
That frozen clock that you can’t wind
Still stuck on that same time
You told me to say goodbye
The snow can only stay
Until it starts to rain
When I wandered off that night
Wasn’t looking for a fight
I guess I care too much sometimes
Don’t know what to do
Don’t know what to do
The rain comes down
The rain comes down
The rain comes down
